Alternate and Historical Fiction

From travel and time, to spies and pirates, to all things past and neverwas

The Alternate and Historical Fiction Track is the destination for all things bygone and never was. It covers everything from fan discussions of period films and tv, speakers on overlooked history and society milestones, to even demos of period costuming techniques.
There is fun for all who fancy festive frolics through factual and fictional former times. The flux capacitor is set to give a peek into the past and future: fan panels on shows like Our Flag Means Death and The Gilded Age; maker panels on recreating vintage hair, makeup, and fashion; historical dives into spiritualism, powerful women, sea shanties, and even the cults of our beloved Dragon Con itself!

To engage more in our Track, be sure to join us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

For 2023, we will be bringing you a fun mix of Phantom of the Opera, Outlander, The Crown, Bridgerton, and Mrs Maisel to name a few! On DCTV we will host the history of Dragon Con Cults for all you fans of fandom. We’ll be bringing the tea(dueling and racing), the dance classes, pirates doing the most, people wearing silly hats, etiquette classes, and plenty of tutorials on how to make yourself blend in with the fashion of the times!
